Biodextris is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) serving the biologics and vaccines industries. We provide end-to-end services — including analytical development, process development, QC testing and GMP biomanufacturing — with the agility and expertise needed to bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, the Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s financial operations. You will be responsible for the full day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, billing, account reconciliations, month-end, and any ad hoc tasks as required.

Position Summary

  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Location: On-site role in Laval
  • Employment type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with flexible hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approval validation, proper coding, and expense report analysis;
  •  Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and reconcile vendor and company credit card statements;
  • Prepare and execute biweekly payment runs (EFT and bank transfers);
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Issue customer invoices on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Prepare and submit sales tax (GST/QST) remittances on a monthly basis;
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations;
  • Prepare and submit payroll biweekly and support other related payroll activities;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures;
  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Qalifications

  • DEC/AEC or DEP in Accounting, Administration, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience OR bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Bilingual (French and English, both written and spoken). English is required in order to communicate with suppliers or clients outside of Quebec;
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations, including GST/QST;
  • Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
  • Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset;
  • Strong initiative, leadership skills, and attention to detail.
